2. MEMORIES FROM A CRUMBLED SHAPE
An ancient sacrificial grove in the midst of a leaf forest
Located along dew-fresh meadow, just by scratched stoneright
Where many guards once fought, but got taken by death
For the fallen we now huddle dusk in the darkness

A stonestatue mightily standing, it has been scratched by time
The statue grey-pale, it has been coloured by mists
Where arts of galdur since long have been conjured
Mythical symbols are carved into the stone

CHORUS:
Magic runes were created by the guard
Scalded, troll-sung during times of plague
Sung for those spilled their blood for the army
A crumbled shape upon the slope
Remembers past days and the battle
When the blackest death finally raised this statue

Utharkrunes carved by the priests of vanished age
To tell of the riders, the dark guests of death
Old knowledge dwells in the rune where the statue fastens
In the obscure glow of the night they honour our traditions

A battlefield by the grove of death amongst fallen northern berserkers
Pulsating, glimmering, glittering it strengthens
Our old words of poetry which is hardly noticed by the soul's corner
Now they are once more fashioned forth in the dark northern night

CHORUS:
Magic runes were created by the guard
Scalded, troll-sung during times of plague
Sung for those spilled their blood for the army
A crumbled shape upon the slope
Remembers past days and the battle
When the blackest death finally raised this statue

3. IN THE MAJESTY OF THE WILDERNESS
Embedded in the sun-drenched gracehall of the feed ground
Fir and pine stands with bent pillar-root
Where marl foretells of growing delight-valley
Strengthened by basalt, spread by the foot of the mountain

In the acquisition of the outfield where the gentle brook shines
The surge from the water's swell is heard
Fashioned under the rays of the summersun
It gushes bold, but yet abstruse

CHORUS:
The sunwagon rides across the grace of the outfield
It's shimmer of the nature is laid
It's rays follows the steps of the brook
With the surface, an enchanted pact is joined
So stark it shines in fairylike clime
Swept in the majesty of the wilderness

Euphony-tones from the wanton wilderness
Frees the most bitter woman and man
But still, in the clime, wounded fir stands gloomy
Wind-whipped, the breath of the storm-god won

It's crown pales in the arcadic light of the sun
And is not favored by the grace of the warmth
But the brook is generated in a prosperous rush
On it's surface a shimmer of gold is reflected

CHORUS:
The sunwagon rides across the grace of the outfield
It's shimmer of the nature is laid
It's rays follows the steps of the brook
With the surface, an enchanted pact is joined
So stark it shines in fairylike clime
Swept in the majesty of the wilderness

Beyond the chamber, dead stems are seen
Wounded bark by the most dreadful sand
A hopeless strive, feeding ground does not nurse
And no one in it's gloom finds peace

4. THE LINDEN SERPENT
When the night gazes towards dawn
and the moon is exchanged by the sun
A thunderous hymn, over the abundance of earthly holes
Thus the fiddling violin of the Sea troll goes silent

Then all natures freezes
for it claws along it's back
From the darkest hole, a flaming pyre
where the ancient linden serpent has rested safely

It's mind is minted with evil
and the underground it rules
From the nose of the linden serpent, a sulphur-dressed smell
where burning, wrathful venom now smolders

CHORUS:
With a skin armed with hard scales
which easily crushes the blade of the sword
The linden serpent treads upon rockcovered hill
slowly raises it's wings
Proceeds out above the veil of the fog
In a morning, misty, heavy and jazzy
Drags it's tail after itself like a yoke
Which scrapes sharply like a scalpel

Now it flies over it's sky
which is forgotten for all time
Where forest and lake, and wind and snow
has rested calmly for hundereds of years

An enchanted fairybeing
which has slept in it's hole
But the thunderous hymn, over the abundance of earthly holes
once more has awoken it's trembling roar

Now you must call forth trollsong
you awaiting, towering poet
A tone so soft, over valleypath and hill;
thus the linden serpent is commanded

CHORUS:
With a skin armed with hard scales
which easily crushes the blade of the sword
The linden serpent treads upon rockcovered hill
slowly raises it's wings
Proceeds out above the veil of the fog
In a morning, misty, heavy and jazzy
Drags it's tail after itself like a yoke
Which scrapes sharply like a scalpel

Now the dragon dreams quietly
from the trollsong of the poet
A soprific tone, from the throne of the mountain
and the linden serpent once more slumbers

5. ENTICED
Within sun-drenched valley
Where the wind sweeps cool
A herdsman wanders miles from the native place
Towards horizon he looks
There, a sun succumbs
Then proceeds home towards the forests shelter

When a fair song
Is heard over and over
A peculiar tune from the darkest wood
Enchanted herdsman
By a netherfair tone
For the mind and the will was taken from you by the song

CHORUS:
Poor you, who was enticed by the woodwife
You whom she lured from home and hearth
In manymile-forests your temper was drained
Following a (hairy) tail on your journey

After song you go
Until you reach the forest
Suddenly, there nether-fair tune decreases
Thus when you stop
A figure looms
Subconsciously you know you are home

The fairest maiden
Temperly seduces you
But you cannot se the hollow back
The lovemaking thus happens
Enchanted you stand
And gone from your mind is the timid wife

"Sneaky plans these creatures now forges
The turning suffering of the doom
Slowly on your fate you wait"

CHORUS:
Poor you, who was enticed by the woodwife
You whom she lured from home and hearth
In manymile-forests your temper was drained
Following a (hairy) tail on your journey

Juniperthicket as bed
In white she is dressed
The strange being, known as [råhanna]
Seduces and devastates
Scatters and destroys
She, who your wife curses everyday

Days follow dreamlike
But the wife is not forgetful
For when the sun descends it is [huldre]evening
But she knows that cure
Is best taken from where one got grime
In the wife strangely grows a retribution

"[Tibast] and [vändela]root
Curse me who taught you cure!"

"Female forestfolk curts before you
And brings you a death so great
Slowly the sun once more rises
The end of the heavy burden"

CHORUS:
Poor you, who was enticed by the woodwife
You whom she lured from home and hearth
In manymile-forests your temper was drained
Following a (hairy) tail on your journey

6. WHEN ALL GOES SILENT
Lonely path goes towards the catch of groves
Up to the glen by the edge of the forest
The moon rises once again
Slowly dances up towards the sky

The wind wanes in hand of the evening
Abates and calmly lays down
The darkness spreads over trollbound land
The wolf howls on solitary heath

The moon is shattered, now merely half is seen
The lamentation of the wolf it vanishes away
The echo decreases in the vault of the mountainsoil
The night takes over the part of evening

When all goes silent the land is as new
The mist is swept over spruce and beech
Lays it's cover upon beast and creature
Encloses within a foggy veil
